The Mindfulness Studio was designed as a safe space with an intention to cultivate awareness and kindness in a peaceful environment. We offer opportunities to develop, grow, and deepen your Meditation practice through the following offerings:
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is designed to help people who suffer from depression, anxiety, and chronic unhappiness. MBCT was developed by Zindel Segal, Mark Williams, and John Teasdale, based on Jon Kabat-Zinn's Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. It combines the ideas of cognitive therapy with meditative practices and attitudes based on the cultivation of Mindfulness.
Becoming aware of the different modes of mind that often characterize mood disorders is the first step in learning how to develop a new relationship to them.
Beth utilizes the "Mindful Way Workbook: an 8 week program to free yourself from depression and emotional distress" written by John Teasdale, Mark Williams, and Zindel Segal in order to bring people's attention to the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. Beth also incorporates Mindfulness techniques in her individual sessions.
Cost of the 8 week mindfulness training
The CBMT class meets once per week for a total of 8 weeks. Each session is 1.5 hours long, and will have no more than 10 participants per class. Contact Beth for the specific schedule and location.
$20 per class
Discount applied if total is paid up front: $150 total if paid in full on or before the first class. $160 total if paid weekly before the start of class.
- Koru Mindfulness Class
Koru Mindfulness is an evidence-based mindfulness curriculum designed for young adults, but the meditations and techniques can be used by people of all ages.
The Koru Basic class is an introduction to mindfulness and meditation. It is taught as a weekly, 75 minute class over four weeks by a trained and certified Koru teacher.
Cost of the 4 week class: $100 which includes the class and the "Mindful Twenty Something" book.

- Meditation Drop-In
Drop in meditation is being offered on Saturday mornings in 30minute increments from 10a-11:30am. Cost for a 30 minute drop in session during this time is $10 or you may purchase a punch card and save! A six-session punch card is just $50.
